About the Role

Accenture Procurement Plus is seeking an experienced and results-driven Category Manager – Technology to lead technology category operations across the Gallia market. This role is critical in translating global and regional sourcing strategies into effective local execution, delivering measurable value, high stakeholder satisfaction, and strong supplier performance.

As a senior contributor, you will act as a strategic advisor to the business while leading category initiatives and developing local procurement capabilities.

Key Purpose

As Category Manager – Technology (Gallia), you will be responsible for:

Implementing global and regional technology sourcing strategies at the local level

Driving cost optimization, service excellence, and regulatory compliance

Acting as a trusted advisor to key business stakeholders

Leading and developing local category teams and initiatives

Key Responsibilities
Category Management & Strategy Execution

Lead the deployment of global and regional Technology category strategies within the local market

Align local performance targets with global procurement objectives

Manage, mentor, and develop the local Procurement Plus Technology team

Support local business planning, budgeting, and strategic decision-making

Identify and execute local sourcing opportunities aligned with the broader category strategy

Actively contribute to the global category community and promote cross-market collaboration

Procurement Execution & Initiative Support

Drive local execution of strategic procurement initiatives

Ensure effective contract implementation and adoption of preferred purchasing channels

Support compliance, risk management, and supplier performance monitoring

Conduct market analysis and supplier base evaluations to inform sourcing decisions

Stakeholder & Supplier Engagement

Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders

Gather and act on stakeholder feedback regarding category performance

Promote value-adding initiatives through proactive engagement

Support pipeline planning and forecasting of sourcing activities

Project Leadership

Lead and support complex local sourcing projects from initiation through contract award

Design RFPs and manage competitive sourcing processes

Define supplier KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications
Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Technology, Economics, or a related field

6+ years of experience in procurement or category management, including project leadership

Proven experience within the IT industry and Technology categories

Experience managing senior stakeholders in complex, matrix-driven organizations

Skills & Competencies

Strong expertise in category strategy, strategic sourcing, and supplier management

Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills

High proficiency in procurement tools and data analytics

Solid understanding of commercial models, governance, and compliance frameworks

Ability to lead, influence, and inspire cross-functional teams

Fluent English (written and spoken)

French: minimum B2 level

Cultural agility and experience working in global, multicultural environments
